Stafford Borough New Local Plan 2025 – 2045: Scoping and Participation Consultation

The purpose of this message is to invite you to respond to the Stafford Borough New Local Plan 2025-2045 consultation documents which we are consulting on during June and July 2026, and to make you aware that other stakeholders will be contacted over the next few days. The consultation seeks views on what to include in a spatial strategy for the area, key issues and the approach to consultation across Stafford Borough over the next 20 years through the following documents:

• Scoping the Issues and Early Participation
• Communication and Engagement Strategy
• Sustainability Appraisal / Strategic Environmental Assessment Scoping Report

We have recently issued Notices on the intention to commence preparation of the next Stafford Borough Local Plan and this Scoping Consultation, a new Local Plan timetable, and consultation documents alongside evidence based reports together with additional information. During the consultation period, hard copies of the New Local Plan consultation documents will also be available for viewing at Stafford Borough Council’s offices and all libraries across the Borough during normal opening hours.

Please ensure that your responses are received by us between Monday 8 June 2026 and before 12 noon on Tuesday 28 July 2026. Comments received before or after these consultation dates may not be considered.
