Sandon Village Clean Up
In a heart-warming display of community spirit and environmental stewardship, residents of Sandon Village recently came together for a collective effort to clean up their streets. With a shared commitment to preserving the beauty of their surroundings, volunteers armed with gloves, bags, and determination took to the streets for a litter pick and pavement clean-up initiative.
Community involvement is key to maintaining the cleanliness and charm of any neighbourhood. By organizing events like the litter pick and pavement clean in Sandon Village, residents not only beautify their surroundings but also foster a sense of unity and pride in their community.
On a Sunny Saturday morning, residents of all ages gathered at Sandon parish rooms, ready to roll up their sleeves and make a difference. Equipped with black bags, litter pickers, spades and a shared sense of purpose, the volunteers set out to tackle the litter and silt that had accumulated along the pavements.
The success of the event not only reflects the dedication of Sandon Village residents to their community but also highlights the power of collective action. By taking ownership of their surroundings and actively participating in initiatives like the litter pick and pavement clean, residents demonstrate their commitment to creating a cleaner, safer, and more vibrant village for all.
Although the efforts made a huge difference, we have only managed to tackle around 25 % of the village, we have planned a second phase that will take part on 26th May 2024. If you would like to get involved, please contact Adam Greaves – 07970271116
